The MAT Leaders programme is a new programme from LLS, designed to support schools and school leaders already managing more than one school, and for those about to embark on that journey. Facilitated by existing Executive Heads and MAT leaders, this programme focuses on how Multi-Academy Trust models can be developed to improve outcomes for all students. The programme will consider how to retain and build strong moral purpose, effective pedagogy and collaborative practice.
As MAT leaders are, by nature of their role, going to be charity Chief Executives, the programme will be delivered in partnership with the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO), the UK’s largest and most influential network for Charity and Social Enterprise Leaders. ACEVO will draw on their expertise in helping CEOs combine moral purpose and excellent outcomes with the skills needed to balance the books and build strong governance.
The MAT Leader Programme will take place across six conferences and school visits throughout 2016-2017, focusing on the key practicalities:
£2000 for up to two members of staff per school (£650 per additional participant). This cost includes membership of ACEVO and shadowing opportunities.
