This involves planning, monitoring and reviewing provision for vulnerable pupils and those with additional needs.

She drove change through coaching and mentoring of staff to support the development of the school during this period of transition.
As an experienced mentor, Vanessa has coached and mentored a significant number of NQTs, teachers and middle leaders. Additionally, she used peer observation and team teaching as effective tools to improve the teaching of those with whom she works. Vanessa lead the development of engaging staff in effective deployment of teaching assistants and additional adults to develop the levels of challenge and support offered to learners in the classroom. She identifies staff training needs and arrange appropriate external and/or internal support in order to further develop teaching assistants’ skills.
