Why should I choose the London Leadership Strategy?

The London Leadership Strategy team are all practising headteachers and senior leaders. We know the everyday challenges facing schools because we face them on a daily basis ourselves.

Is the London Leadership Strategy just a new name for London Challenge?

No. The London Leadership Strategy was the school improvement arm of the London Challenge. We are now building on the success of London Challenge. The London Leadership Strategy team provided the brokering and matching of school-to-school support for London Challenge advisors.

I am a relatively new headteacher responsible for a school in challenging circumstances. I would like an experienced mentor headteacher that has worked in a similar context to my own. How do I know you will be able to provide this?

The London Leadership Strategy has a network of over 500 schools in London alone. We have a central brokering team that has matched schools, headteachers and senior leaders since 2003. This central team takes great care to match headteachers and schools appropriately and this was recognised by Ofsted in 2010.

Do you support schools outside of London?

Yes. Until recently, our remit from the DfE was to work specifically with London Schools, but from 2011 we have been working across a number of regions.
