Programme Overview
The School Audit programme gives schools the opportunity to have either an informal or more formal HMI-based audit.
It is aimed at schools wishing to identify keys areas for improvement, preparing for an Ofsted inspection, or looking for feedback on progress made on issues highlighted in their most recent Ofsted report.
Programme structure
An experienced headteacher or trained HMI inspector will undertake a focused audit, including:
- a school visit
- high level data analysis
- report write up
- presentation of recommendations to headteacher and/or governors

To provide schools with objective, impartial feedback on their key areas for development, to support improvement planning.
