
Programme Overview
The London Leadership Strategy will broker support for a newly appointed Head Teacher or Acting Head Teacher by supplying them with an experienced NLE. Providing three days of support over the first year in post, the package of support can be spread evenly throughout the year or ‘front loaded’ during the first term and will be of a bespoke nature to assist in:-
- Helping with initial issues such as the management of school evaluation documentation, school improvement plans, looking at data and Raise On Line
- Support with monitoring the effectiveness of teaching and learning
- Strategies for successful performance management
- Help with the first report to governors
- Issues around personnel
- Budgetary priorities and financial planning
- Implementing systems that lead to raised standards
- Preparation for Ofsted
- Writing an effective SEF
The above are just some examples of the support that can be given by a successful and knowledgeable Head Teacher/NLE. Each programme will be tailored to the individual through an agreed action plan and supported via telephone and email.
