Delivered by experienced assistant headteachers, advanced skills teachers and outstanding subject leaders from successful schools, Subject Specialist Support developed into a programme in its own right in 2008.
High quality headteachers and other senior leaders are vital to success, but, although less feted, effective heads of department and other middle leaders also have a very significant impact on school performance. Truly effective middle leadership rarely comes about by accident. The most successful schools recognise the pivotal importance of this role.
Our outstanding teachers work alongside other teachers and heads of department as professional coaches. They support staff with the strategic development of the department while modelling outstanding practice.
The structure and length of the programme is bespoke. This is because each school context is unique and all of our team are practising teachers with their own timetabled commitments.
